I look at this Vogue Cover Illustration and I love the confidence in her ease.  It’s gorgeous.  I’m thinking, how marvelous it would be to have that poise for intense days like today!  Last time I checked in the mirror, I didn’t quite have that poise, maybe it’s the hat.  Carrie and I have joked about visine being our new bff.  We have been busily preparing for our 1st Fashion Expedition, a trek from the Northeast to the South, (although we’re both well travelled, this trek is just a region neither of us have done). Between setting up interviews, research, planning, sponsors and setting up new contributors for Culturalite Media, we have found the time to do this and yes, we love it!  But with any project, even ones that you love, sometimes you just need to take a moment to refresh.   This summer I’ve been semi-amped on my homemade summer iced green tea with fresh mint, sometimes the occasional splash; and while sipping it on my patio (to rest my eyes from the computer screen) I was thinking about all the still-waiting-to-hear-back-from’s and all the amazing people that have been eager to contribute to our web series interviews, those in fashion, media, culture and the infinite amount of people that have gotten in touch with us with suggestions and the new connects of friends of friends plus the liveliness of my day to day interactions with my partner in crime, Carrie who has been super on!
